Ingredients:
- ½ c. Melted Butter
- 1 c. Brown Sugar (I put in ¾ c.)
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 2 tsp. Baking powder
- ½ tsp. Cinnamon
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 3 c. Quick Oats
- 1 c. Milk
- Optional: ½ c. raisins/craisins; ½ c. nuts
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Mix the butter and sugar together
- Add the remaining ingredients
- Put into buttered (greased) 9x9 pan
- Bake for 20-25 minutes (I put it in longer, as I like the crunchy top)
- Let cool for 5 minutes; cut and serve
Apple Cinnamon
- Cut the above sugar to ½ - ¾ c.
- Peal, then grate 2 apples (any kind-I just use what is in the fridge, usually Gala or Red Delicious)
- Add 1 grated apple to oat mixture
- Sprinkle the remaining apple over oat mixture in pan
- Sprinkle ¼ c. sugar (white or brown) on top of the grated apple
- Bake for 30-45 minutes until golden and crunchy on top
Desert Dish
- Use full amount of sugar with the original recipe; with Apple Cinnamon variation, use ¾ c.
- Serve with ice cream
