Chocolate Chip Cookies

YIELD: 2-3 doz. large (depending on how much dough gets eaten!)

Ingredients:
    • 1 c. Butter
    • 1 ½ c. Sugar
    • 2 Eggs
    • 1 tsp. Vanilla
    • 2-1/2 c. Flour
    • 1 tsp. Baking Soda
    • Chocolate Chips, to taste
Directions:
    • Preheat oven to 375F
    • Cream butter and sugar
    • Add eggs and vanilla
    • Add dry ingredients
    • Stir together well
    • Add chocolate chips
    • Bake for 10-12 minutes, (12-13 minutes for large) or until firm on the outside, but VERY soft on the inside
                

Variations:
        Double Chocolate Chip
    • Add 4 Tbs. Cocoa powder to recipe
        Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

    • Use only 2c. flour. Add 2c. oatmeal and 1c. soaked raisins.  To soak raisins, place them in boiling water before you begin baking. Drain off water; add to recipe. Mix well.
